Metsäkulmakoti is a rehabilitation home for adolescents aged 13-20 years, who are in need of continuous psychiatric support and guidance.
Metsäkulmakoti is situated in Kotka in a peaceful neighborhood close to the main services. The home can accommodate up to 8 patients. Metsäkulmakoti includes spacious single rooms for each patient and comfortable common quarters.
We function as a community, in which the primary goal of treatment and rehabilitation is to increase the adolescents' control of their own lives thus reducing their risk of becoming alienated from society.
The staff of Metsäkulmakoti consists of seven counselors and one managing director. Our staff is specialized in various areas of expertise and is therefore well equipped to respond to the adolescents' various needs on an individual basis.
Metsäkulmakoti does not accept patients who behave violently or are addicted to alcohol or drugs.
Our daily fee covers the patient's:
Psychosocial rehabilitation according to an individual plan of treatment
Accommodation in a single room
Meals
Basic education and healthcare expenses
Reasonable recreational expenses
Trips home, which have been agreed upon in advance
